Delivery Information
When can I expect my order?
Livestock: Orders are processed according to the weather forecast for the sending and delivery addresses. If either is forecasted below 3c or above 30c, your order will not be processed. Your order will be delayed if your chosen bug goes into pre-moult or is moulting. Orders will be posted once or twice weekly, and the postal day is subject to change each week depending on our schedule. If you require a specific delivery date, please get in touch with us at info@bugprint.co.uk as soon as possible. If no contact is received within 24 hours, we assume you are happy to receive your order at any time. We endeavour to process your livestock orders within 1-5 working days if there are no extenuating reasons for the delay. All orders will be dispatched between Monday and Thursday. If you require a weekend delivery, this option is available to you at the checkout for an additional fee. Please note, however, that a live arrival guarantee is void when choosing this method of delivery.
Printed Goods: Orders are processed within 14 days. This is an overestimation to account for peak and busy periods or periods with a high volume of livestock orders. If you require your order sooner, please enquire about current processing times for printed goods via social media or by e-mail at info@bugprint.co.uk. You can also choose to add the express service to your order to reduce the processing time.
Pre-order Items: If you order a pre-order item, there may be a delay in processing for up to one calendar month depending on how soon you order. Processing times will be displayed at the point of sale.
Digital Services: Digital services are booked in time slots. You will be advised of the processing times at the point of booking.
You will receive a dispatch e-mail for all orders on the day of packing. If there are any delays with your order, you will be contacted using the contact information you provided to advise of the delay and estimate when the order may be processed. Livestock orders are always posted using the 'Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1 p.m.' service offered by Royal Mail. This is a trackable service. We endeavour to provide you with the tracking number on the day of posting. If you do not receive a tracking number, please contact us and we will be happy to provide one.
How will my order be sent?
Livestock: Orders will be sent using Royal Mail via their 'Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1 p.m.' service.
Physical Goods: Orders will be sent using Royal Mail 1st class Signed For services to ensure there is proof of delivery.
Digital Goods: Orders are delivered to the supplied e-mail address.
How will my order be packed?
Livestock: Livestock is packed in cardboard boxes packed tightly with biodegradable packing peanuts or recyclable shredded paper depending on what we have in stock at the time of packing. Livestock are usually packed into plastic containers which we appreciate isn't the most environmentally friendly option but it is currently the only option we have that prevents escape. You will always be able to reuse any containers. Heat packs may be packed inside the boxes when temperatures are below 10c. Boxes will be taped with recyclable, fragile, heavy-duty tape and stickers will be used to identify that the box contains livestock.
Physical Goods: Physical goods are packed in padded envelopes, letterbox boxes or 'do not bend' envelopes. As much of the material as possible will be recyclable including stickers used for mailing labels.
